Batt Insulation
Batt insulation, fitted like it matters
Batts are simple and they fail in a simple way: gaps and compression. We cut to fit around every box, pipe and wire.
Where batts belong
Open framing, remodels, garages and sound walls
When the framing is open, batts are cost effective and easy to inspect. The difference between a good batt job and a bad one is entirely in the fitting. A batt stuffed behind a wire, folded around a pipe or jammed into a bay an inch too narrow loses a third of its rated value. Our crews split batts around wiring, notch them for boxes and fill the bay edge to edge.
- Fiberglass batts for standard walls and floors
- Mineral wool for fire resistance and sound control
- Kraft faced or unfaced depending on the vapor plan
- Inspection ready for your framing and insulation sign off

How it works
Four steps from call to warm
Call or send the form
Tell us the city, the age of the house and what you have noticed. We will tell you on the phone whether it is worth a visit.
We measure, not guess
We get in the attic or crawl space, check the depth, the air leaks, the venting and the wiring, and photograph it for you.
One written price
Square footage, R-value, materials, air sealing and the rebate you qualify for, all on one page. Good for 30 days.
Install and clean up
Most attics are done in a day. We lay drop cloths, blow it in, bring you up to see the depth markers, and leave the house cleaner than we found it.
Fiberglass or mineral wool?
Mineral wool costs more, holds its shape better, resists fire and cuts sound well. Fiberglass is the budget option and fine in most standard walls. We stock both.
Do you do batts in existing attics?
Rarely. In a vented attic, blown insulation covers better and costs less. Batts make sense in an attic only when the ceiling is going to be a floor.
Can you insulate my garage?
Yes. Garage walls and the ceiling under a bonus room are two of the most common batt jobs we do.
Do you handle the inspection?
We install to code and are there for the insulation inspection on permitted work.
